Bellsouth was bought out by AT&T, AT&T offers access to email through Outlook 2007 and Bellsouth clients need to change settings in the application to access email. Setting up your AT&T email client for use with Outlook 2007 takes only a few steps.

2. Select the account name for your old Bellsouth configuration. Click the "Change" button. This opens a window where you configure the email server settings.

3. Enter "pop.att.yahoo.com" in the incoming email server settings. Change outgoing email settings to "smtp.att.yahoo.com." Enter your user name, which is the email address for the account.

4. Click the "More Settings" button to open and additional window. Click the "Outgoing Server" tab.

5. Check the box that is labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Check the box that is labeled "Use same settings as my incoming mail server." This sets your email client to use the same email address that was set in step 4.

6. Click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box labeled "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)." Select "SSL" from the list of encryption types. For the POP3 incoming settings, type 995 in the text box. For the SMTP settings, type 465.
