Www.Roadrunner.com Login and Set Up Roadrunner Email Account

Roadrunner Email Account powdered by Time Warner Cable (TWC) that is a cable television and Internet provider that reaches consumers in more than half of the states in the U.S. Originally a cable television company, TWC expanded to include high-speed online service in 1995. Its Internet service is virtually identical to that of other cable providers (Cablevision, Comcast and Charter Communications, among others), all of which provide email as part of its Internet package. Time Warner's email service is named Road Runner, and setting it up is no more difficult then configuring virtually any other email account.

Establish an email account with Time Warner after you have activated the cable service and installed your cable modem. Your email address isn't automatically issued; you will have to go online to create it. Go to the link below to begin the process. Have your account number (which can be found on a statement or installation receipt) ready. Then select your state and division from the pull-down menu. You will then be directed to the page that is specific to your regional division of TWC. Each regional page is slightly different, but all of them allow you to create a new email account (or establish a sub-account) under the "Self Care" link. After this create an email address that suits your needs. If your first choice is not available, try adding some numbers or additional letters to your address. No matter what you decide on, the suffix for your email address will always be @roadrunner.com.

Launch your email software and add a new account. While most email accounts have different options to establish a new account, the information entered is the same. Outlook, Entourage and Windows Mail user select "Accounts..." under the "Tools" menu, while Apple Mail users select "Preferences..." under the "Mail" menu, and then select the "Accounts" icon at the top of the window.

Then Enter the following in the appropriate fields:

Email server: POP3
Incoming (POP) server: pop-server.domain.rr.com
Outgoing (SMTP) server: smtp-server.domain.rr.com
User name: your email address, excluding @roadrunner.com
Password: the password you established in Step 2
Note that you don't need to select any authentication for the SMTP server, or apply any of the advanced security options.

Tweak the settings of your email software to suit your needs. For example, you may want to create a signature, save your mail on the server or set up folders to help organize your archived mail. Again, each email package has its own way of accomplishing these tasks, but most are fairly intuitive when it comes to customizing.
