Earthlink is an Internet service provider that offers a number of different Internet connection options including dial-up, DSL, satellite and cable. Earthlink also offers other services to customers such as email and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). If Earthlink is your Internet service provider and you have a customized Earthlink email address, you can change your email if needed. You may want to change it for logistical reasons, harassment or even personal preference. Use these steps to change an Earthlink email address.
1. Go to www.earthlink.net and Log into your Earthlink email account by entering your current email address and your password.
2. Click on the link for Email Profiles on the toolbar on the left and enter your first name, last name, email address and new password.
3. Confirm your new password by re-entering this password.
4. Click on the "Add Email Profile" button and then the "OK" button to complete the creation of a new Earthlink email address.
5. Begin using your new Earthlink email address for regular communications. You can delete the old profile and email address at a later date.
