Key Bank offers this feature to its personal and business banking customers, whether the customer has a checking or savings account. Getting started with online banking to view your account balance online only takes a few minutes.

1. Gather the information needed to register your Key Bank account for online banking. You'll need your Social Security number and your Key Bank debit card or bank account number.

2. Visit the Key Bank online banking site www.key.com. Click "Enroll" to get started with online banking. Click "Let's Get Started" and choose your account type.

3. Input your Social Security number and debit card or bank account number. If entering your debit card number, you'll also need to enter your PIN (personal identification number). Enter the email address you want to associate with your online banking account.

4. Continue through the prompts by clicking "Continue." Read through the disclosures and terms and conditions. Create a secure password. You'll use this to access your online banking account. Once you have finished, you'll be able to log in.

5. Log in to your Key Bank account online. Use the email address and password you registered with. View your account balance online after signing in.
