There are a lot of different Barclaycards, owing to their more than 40 different partnerships with leading institutions. Some cards cater more to travel, others to entertainment, retail and even business. What they all have in common though is the need to activate the cards first before they can be used. This is done through www.barclaycardus.com/activate.

How to activate your Barclay Card

• As an existing cardholder, you must first go to www.barclaycardus.com/activate
• You are now at the activation page. On the righthand portion of the page is a green button marked ACTIVATE MY CARD. Click on that to start the activation process.
• To begin with, you must first supply the following information: Social Security Number, Birthday, Account number, and Security code (found at the back of the card; Visa/Mastercards have 3 digits, American Express cards have 4). Also specify if you are a US citizen or not. As soon as you’re done, click the green CONTINUE button.
• Go ahead and follow the remaining instructions to finish activating your card.

I can’t activate!
