NetZero provides users with a free NetZero email account, regardless of whether they sign up for the free service allowing them 10 hours of dial-up Internet access per month or a paid unlimited subscription. There is no limit to the number of email accounts you can create with NetZero, and you can sign up for NetZero email even if you don't use NetZero to connect to the Internet.

1. Open your Web browser and navigate to netzero.net. Click "More Info" under the "Free Email with Video Mail & Video Chat" heading on the bottom-right of the screen.

2. Click "Get Started" to begin to create your free NetZero email account.

3. Fill out your member ID. This will be the first part of your email address followed by "@netzero.com." Your member ID must be between three and 30 letters long.

4. Type in your password in both password fields. Your password cannot be longer than 12 characters.

5. Choose a secret question from the drop-down menu and fill out the answer in the box below. Choose a question for which you will remember the answer. You may be asked to provide the answer to your secret question if you forget your password.

6. Type another email address in the "Alternate email address" field if you have one. NetZero will use your alternate email address as an alternate way to contact you in case there is a problem with your email account or registration.

7. Type the letters and numbers you see in the picture in the box below to verify your registration and click "I Accept."

8. Fill out your name, address, date of birth, education, occupation and ages of any children in your household on the following page titled "Member Information." Click "Next."

9. Click "Go to My Email" on the confirmation page to access your new NetZero email account.
