Once you have activated your MasterCard to have the SecureCode you will simply be prompted by at checkout to provide the code, just like entering a PIN at an ATM. This code will be required to enter in along with your current PIN. Easy to use, easy to add to your MasterCard. Along with a SecureCode you will also create a Personal Greeting that will appear before you type in your code to ensure you are communicating with your official financial institution. Below we have provided a quick “how to” guide to activate your MasterCard SecureCode security protection online.

what you need:

• internet access
• your MasterCard card that you want MasterCard Secure Code security protection added to

what to do: 

• visit www.mastercardsecurecode.com or www.mastercard.us/securecode
• scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Sign Up Now” button
• search for the financial institution that you have your MasterCard with and click on the link provided
• you will be redirected to the MasterCard Secure Code Welcome page
• click on the “register now” button
• enter in your MasterCard card number
• proceed to provide all the required information on the “verify your identity” screen
• proceed to provide all the required information on the “create securecode” screen
• you will then be directed to the “registration complete” screen and received you confirmation that you did successfully activate the MasterCard SecureCode security protection to the card you provided and your registration is complete

NOTE: it is suggested that you do this with EVERY MasterCard you own
