The company provides commercial banking products and services including deposit accounts, loans and mortgages, and insurance and investment products from approximately 100 branches in New York, California, Florida, Illinois, and New Jersey. Faced with losses in the global financial downturn, the company sold its Popular Equipment Financing leasing portfolio and stripped down the offerings of its online unit E-LOAN in 2009.
