* Before you start using your U.S. Bank Check Card, you’ll need to activate it.
* It’s fast, easy and convenient to activate your new card. Just choose “New Customer” or “Existing Customer” from the tabs below.

New Customer

It’s easy and convenient to activate your U.S. Bank Check Card.

Your new check card and Personal Identification Number (PIN) will arrive separately in the mail. Once you receive both, you can activate your check card by doing any one of the following:

* Making a deposit or withdrawal at any ATM1.
* Calling us toll free at 877-550-8049.
* Going to usbank.com/activate.
* Bringing your check card to your local U.S. Bank branch, and asking your banker to activate it for you.

After you've activated your card, simply sign your name on the back and start using it.

Existing Customers

It’s fast and easy to activate your U.S. Bank Check Card. If you're a U.S. Bank Internet Banking customer, simply:

1. Log in to Internet Banking.
2. Select "Customer Service Center."
3. Select "Check Card and Reward Program Options."
4. Select "Activate Your Check Card."
