The Star Card, or Military Star Card is offered to military members. It offers low interest rates, a 25 day grace period, plus it doesn't have annual fees. The Star Card is like a regular credit card; however, it can only be used at Coast Guard, Marine Corps and AAFES exchanges. There are two ways to check you Star Card balance. You can go to the Military Star Card website and check your balance online, or call the Exchange Credit call center and get your balance with a customer representative.
Check Balanace Online
1. Browse to the Military Star Card website www.chase.com/military-home.htm
2. Enter your username and password in the "Username" and "Password" fields displayed beneath where it says "Returning Customers (EXPRESS Log-in)". Click the "Log-in" tab.
3. Click the "Member Services" tab once you are logged in and then click where it says "Account information." You balance is displayed beside where it says "Account balance."
Check Balance Over the Phone
1. Call toll-free at 1-877-891-STAR (7827) if you are located in the United States. If you are calling from overseas, you can call collect at 1-214-312-3040. These numbers are for the Exchange Credit Call Center.
2. Dial in your account number when prompted and wait until you are transferred to a customer representative.
3. Verify that you are the account holder by providing the customer representative with your pin number or the last four digits of your social security. Ask the Exchange Credit Call Center representative for your balance.
