www.qwest.com- Qwest High-Speed Internet Hook Up Process

There are many benefits for upgrading from dial-up Internet service to high-speed service. Qwest partners with many Internet service providers, but its high-speed Internet service comes with a few installation techniques.

How to Hook Up Qwest High-Speed Internet

1. Subscribe to high-speed Internet service with an Internet service provider that is compatible with the Qwest high-speed Internet router.

2. Ensure your computer has a wireless card installed. To verify this, you can go to your "Device Manager" to see if a wireless card is listed. If there is no wireless card listed, you will need to purchase and install one.

3. Connect the Qwest high speed Internet modem to your computer using the appropriate cables that came with your modem kit.

4. Place the phone filters that came with your modem kit into all telephone jacks in your home. The filters prevent interference from your telephone line with the high-speed Internet service. Four filters should have been included with your modem kit. If you need more filters, contact Qwest customer service.

5. Insert the Qwest "Quick Connect CD" that came with the kit. The CD will install the software that is required for your high-speed Internet connection. Once the installation is completed, you can open your Internet browser and begin browsing the Web.

6. Contact Qwest customer service if you are uncomfortable installing your high-speed Internet service. By calling the customer service line, you can request to have a professional installation by one of its field technicians for a small fee. You can also view the Qwest online installation tutorial if you need further assistance.
